How Not To - Scenery
My whole life I have loved to invent and create new things and that spills over into my model railroads too. I decided the bare styrofoam cliff face along the tracks just would not cut it but I had no idea how to cover it. Most model railroad magazines show plaster rocks or some variation glued to such a spot but the track was way too close for that. As it is there is barely 1/4" clearance between the wall and our diesel locomotive. Whatever I did had to be thin. Time to get creative. I mixed latex paint, tile grout, and acrylic coloring and it worked great... or did it. Read the captions to find out how well it worked out.
